STORYBOOK STYLE

This Kansas City home has been transformed into a modern fairytale, complete with whimsical touches right out of a storybook.  The contractor, D.P. Hudacek worked closely with Profile to design cabinetry and countertops worthy of the majestic yet playful style of this home.  Quartz countertops and white raised panel cabinetry in the kitchen contrast with a earth brown island to create the perfect neutral backdrop for the lively color palette used in furniture selections throughout the main living area.  Built in stacked flat panel uppers on either side of the kitchen create a nice transition from the kitchen into the living room and allow for extra storage.  The library features robin egg blue painted built in shelving on either side of a large window, anchored by storage cabinets featuring vintage inspired gold hardware.   A combination of slab and raised panel drawer fronts in a guest bath add character, perfected with delicate glass knobs.  Finally, a furniture vanity was created with an elongated raised panel style drawer front and combined a mid century style pull to create an elegant, yet masculine washroom for one of the children.

ENGLISH ROOTS

The details in the design of the cabinetry create a ubiquitous serene feel to this Kansas City home, incorporating a mix of heavenly and earthy palettes of color blended with metallic finishes. A farmhouse sink, antiqued silver hanging lanterns, a custom barn pantry door, and a breakfast nook are all subtle reminders of the English countryside; paying homage to the roots of one of the home’s inhabitants.   The flat panel kitchen cabinetry is awash in a carefully selected soft grey hue, contrasting nicely with the dark stain of the island.

Custom shelving in the pantry is painted the same soft grey, and features a combination of glass-front, open, and closed cabinetry, offering multiple storage options. A built-in kitchen buffet featuring custom x shaped metal mullions provides a functional display for china and serving dishes.  The home office and the laundry room are both perfectly heavenly, completely washed in white with ample built-in storage, giving a sense of peace and calm to these work focused spaces.

DEVELOPER’S DREAM

When prominent Kansas City developer Ken Bloch decided to build his first large scale apartment complex, he had a single vision in mind –  condo-style luxury for apartment dwellers.  We partnered with Titan Construction to make his dream come true by supplying cabinetry and granite tops for 306 upscale apartments and a clubhouse featuring resort-style amenities.  All cabinetry was built euro style with a custom mixed Moroccan style stain.  Large bar pulls and granite complete the contemporary look of these high-end units.  

Cabinet features include 3/4 in. construction, adjustable shelving, and full extension glides.   The clubhouse includes a large chef kitchen with quartz countertops for large gatherings.  In the media room, a custom wood panel was added to the wall above locked storage cabinets.
